Calculate your daily gross wage from your monthly gross salary.
The daily wage is the portion of the monthly gross salary that falls on a single day. In labour law, many calculations — severance and notice pay, annual-leave pay, overtime, weekly and public-holiday pay — are based on the daily wage. Knowing it accurately is the foundation of payroll and compensation calculations.
In Turkish labour practice a month is taken as 30 days for wage purposes. So the daily gross wage is the monthly gross divided by 30. The hourly wage is the daily wage divided by the normal daily working time (usually 7.5 hours).
For a monthly gross of 30,000 ₺, the daily gross wage is 30,000 / 30 = 1,000 ₺. The hourly wage is about 1,000 / 7.5 ≈ 133.33 ₺.
Although months last 28-31 days, 30 days is used for uniformity in wage calculations.
For compensation, regularly paid bonuses and benefits such as transport and meals may be included.
Divide the daily gross wage by the normal daily working hours.
