Calculate your overtime pay based on your hourly wage and overtime hours.
Under the Labour Act, overtime is work exceeding 45 hours per week. The weekly working time is, as a rule, capped at 45 hours; every hour beyond that counts as overtime and is subject to a premium. Overtime requires the employee's written consent and may not exceed the annual limit of 270 hours.
If a shorter week is agreed by contract, work up to 45 hours is "extended-time work" paid at a 25% premium, while work beyond 45 hours is overtime at a 50% premium.
For each hour of overtime, 50% more than the normal hourly wage (1.5×) is paid. This tool multiplies your hourly gross wage by the multiplier (default 1.5) and by the overtime hours to compute the gross overtime pay.
A worker with an hourly gross wage of 150 ₺ working 10 overtime hours a month: 150 × 1.5 × 10 = 2,250 ₺ gross overtime pay.
50% for work beyond 45 hours; 25% for extended-time work up to 45 hours where a shorter week was agreed.
As a rule no; except in extraordinary situations, written consent is required.
